- Ấn phẩmA descriptive survey of porcine epidemic diarrhea in pig populations in northern Vietnam [Tài nguyên điện tử](2020) Mai, Thi Ngan; Wataru, Yamazaki; Bui, Thanh PhongPorcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) virus (PEDV) is a globally emerging and re-emerging epizootic swine virus that causes massive economic losses in the swine industry, with high mortality in piglets. In Vietnam, PED first emerged in 2009 and has now developed to an endemic stage. This is the first cross-sectional survey performed to evaluate the proportion of PEDV-positive swine farms in Vietnam from January 2018 to February 2019. Fecal samples from 327 pig farms in northern Vietnam were collected and tested for PEDV infection by reverse transcription-loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) method. The proportion of PEDV-positive farms was 30.9% and PEDV-positive farms were distributed throughout the study area. The highest proportion of PEDV-positive farms was 70% (7/10) among nucleus production type farms (P < 0.05). Higher proportions of PEDV-positive farms were found in the Northeast and Red River Delta areas, which are the major areas of pig production (P < 0.05). The proportion of PEDV-positive farms was higher among larger farms (P < 0.05). Our findings illustrate the high proportion of PEDV-positive farms in the Vietnamese pig population and will help to better understand the epidemiological dynamics of PED infection, to estimate impact, and establish and improve prevention and control measures.

- Ấn phẩmA General Framework for Analyzing Sustainability of Social - Ecological Systems [Tài nguyên điện tử](American Association for the Advancement of Science, 2009) Ostrom, ElinorA major problem worldwide is the potential loss of fisheries, forests, and water resources. Understanding of the processes that lead to improvements in or deterioration of natural resources is limited, because scientific disciplines use different concepts and languages to describe and explain complex social-ecological systems (SESs). Without a common framework to organize findings, isolated knowledge does not cumulate. Until recently, accepted theory has assumed that resource users will never self-organize to maintain their resources and that governments must impose solutions. Research in multiple disciplines, however, has found that some government policies accelerate resource destruction, whereas some resource users have invested their time and energy to achieve sustainability. A general framework is used to identify 10 subsystem variables that affect the likelihood of self-organization in efforts to achieve a sustainable SES.

- Ấn phẩmA review of the nutritional effects of algae in marine fish larvae. Vol. 155 [Tài nguyên điện tử](2019) Reitan, Kjell Inge; Rainuzzo, Jose R.; 0ie, GunvorIn the first-feeding of larval, turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) and halibut (Hippoglossus hippoglossus), microalgae are used in the production of rotifers (Bruchionus plicatilis) in order to transfer essential nutrients from the algae to the live food. In addition, the algae may be given directly to the larvae along with the live food. In this circumstance they act both as food for the fish larvae and for the live food. Microalgal addition to the first-feeding tanks along with the rotifers improved growth and survival of larvae, whereas short-term enrichment of rotifers with algae did not improve growth and survival of larvae in tanks without algae added. The algae in larval tanks tended to modify and stabilize the nutritional quality of the rotifers in the period before they were consumed by the larvae. The lipid content and fatty acid composition of the rotifers reflected the composition of the algal diets, and the algal species used may be an effective tool to control the fatty acid content (especially DHA, 22:6n - 3, docosahexaenoic acid, and EPA, 205n - 3, eicosapentaenoic acid). The content of n - 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids varied between algal species, and to some extent, with the growth limitation of the algal cells. Young stages of marine fish larvae ingested microalgae, but the algal cells were assimilated to a different extent in halibut and turbot. The ingested microalgae may have triggered the digestion process or contributed to the establishment of an early gut flora. The algae in larval tanks most probably modified the bacterial flora of the water and the rotifers. In addition, the algae in larval tanks may have modified the light milieu for the larvae. 0 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
- Ấn phẩmA Review on General Nutritional Compounds and Pharmacological Properties of the Lentinula edodes Mushroom(Scientific Research, 2014) Finimundy, Tiane Cristine; Dillon, Aldo José Pinheiro; Henriques, João Antônio Pêgas; Ely, Mariana RoeschLentinula edodes is a macrofungus with great potential for therapeutic applications and serves as a model for investigating functional fungi properties and isolating pure compounds for pharmaceu-tical use. Mushrooms have a great nutritional value and present medicinal molecules including polysaccharides, terpenoids, sterols and lipids, that participate actively in several human disor-ders and modulate mechanisms involved in the in the immune system regulation. This review will focus on general nutritional compounds and pharmacological properties of L. edodes.

- Ấn phẩmAn integrated conceptual framework for long - term social–ecological research [Tài nguyên điện tử](Ecological Society of America, 2010) Collins, Scott L.The global reach of human activities affects all natural ecosystems, so that the environment is best viewed as a social–ecological system. Consequently, a more integrative approach to environmental science, one that bridges the biophysical and social domains, is sorely needed. Although models and frameworks for social–ecological systems exist, few are explicitly designed to guide a long-term interdisciplinary research program. Here, we present an iterative framework, “Press–Pulse Dynamics” (PPD), that integrates the biophysical and social sciences through an understanding of how human behaviors affect “press” and “pulse” dynamics and ecosystem processes. Such dynamics and processes, in turn, influence ecosystem services – thereby altering human behaviors and initiating feedbacks that impact the original dynamics and processes. We believe that research guided by the PPD framework will lead to a more thorough understanding of social–ecological systems and generate the knowledge needed to address pervasive environmental problems

Các công thức thí nghiệm gồm: đối chứng - bón phân vô cơ theo lượng bón của người dân (1,5kg NPK(5:10:3) + 1,75kg NPK(12:5:7) + 0,5kg K2SO4/cây/năm); và các công thức bón thay thế 25% - 50% - 75% - 100% phân hỗn hợp bằng phân hữu cơ vi sinh viên nén trên nguyên tắc đảm bảo lượng đạm (N) nguyên chất là giống nhau ở các công thức bón. Bón thay thế phân hỗn hợp bằng 25%-50% phân hữu cơ vi sinh viên nén ổn định pH đất, tăng N-P-K trong đất, đồng thời cải thiện năng suất bưởi Sửu so với bón 100% phân vô cơ. Bón thay thế bằng 50% phân hữu cơ vi sinh viên nén cho năng suất cao nhất (25,61 tấn/ha) và lợi nhuận đạt 568,95 triệu đồng/ha, tăng 148,49 triệu đồng/ha so với đối chứng. Tăng lượng phân hữu cơ vi sinh viên nén làm tăng chất lượng quả bưởi, thay thế phân vô cơ bằng 50-100% phân hữu cơ vi sinh viên nén làm tăng lượng đường tổng, vitamin C và tỉ lệ chất khô trong quả bưởi Sửu so với bón 100% phân vô cơ
